Doc, I think the extensive coverage of Anna and Britney means the press is getting tired of covering the War(s). I agree that it would be nice to see more coverage of what is happening on the ground, but even that's sanitized anymore. They either profile the very heroic or the very tragic, but leave out the general interest info. Besides, in most states, we're not allowed to even see flag-draped caskets on TV, but yes, we've got PLENTY of Anna & James Brown in OPEN caskets! Make sense!?!??!?
Interesting to note there are video games for kids out there on Columbine, JFK shooting, Vietnam War and now there are all sorts of Iraq & Afghanistan video games coming out now, too. Despicable. I guess Ronald Reagan was right all those years ago when he said the generation of kids addicted to Atari will be future airline workers & make fine military.
I think the press has milked the War(s) into popular culture long enough and other than the daily death count, they probably feel there's nothing left to talk about? It's almost as if the War(s) are being covered like the hippy explosion of the 60s? All of a sudden there was nothing new to talk about at the very end?
Doc, I read the other day where Bolton is very disappointed in the North Korean plan and disappointed in the White House. Amazing, because yesterday The Prez visited the AEI and thanked them for all of their loyal consultants, i.e. Richard Pearle, Bolton etc....amazing.
Pearle said Baghdad would be a cakewalk and Bolton, well, is Bolton.
Doc, we can't riot in the streets right now to demand our rights and and end to the war(s). Anna Nicole Smith died. The world is at a stand-still right now until we find out who the baby's real father is.

That money, probably some kinda 'friendly" fire experiment gone wrong. No problem seeing as how all the new money is tinted with pink that comes from actual blood. Gotta find an old stones record aand some friendlies to sit and pass a joint with but it seems I don't speak the lexicon of the street anymore. Lyrica disolving on my toungue right now. Ahhhhhhhhhhh
Molly was a hero of mine. Her writings of Texas politics (decades ago) exposed the underbelly of a state corrupt to its bones and when she took on the big boys of Washington....she took no prisoners.
I'll miss her ascerbic wit, her wisdom and her masterful command of language.
